***BOOK REVIEW*** Fractured Hearts (Shattered Lives Book #3) by Rissa Blakeley

Fractured Hearts (Shattered Lives, #3)Fractured Hearts by Rissa Blakeley
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is Book Three in the Shattered Lives series and I was excited to see what became of this band of people in the days of zombie apocalypse. Henry battles his addiction, Gunther learns to live and love in this new world free of the program's grasp and the unit of survivors expands and changes as members come and go, some to true death. The three characters that stood out for me in this book were Quinn, Cora and Nick. The amount of loss and devastation in this book doesn't compare to the other two books thus far in this series. One can argue that Book One had the most death and horror, but it was mostly impersonal. It was the spread of the disease. The true deaths in this book were personal. These are characters we developed relationships with, gained insights into, and grew to love and Rissa sent them to their true deaths. The climatic show down of Roger's arrival with "the program" will leave you on the edge of your seat and I can't wait until Book Four. I have many unanswered questions and prospects of awesome possible storylines.
